Officers/Board of Directors provides leadership for the society

Several committees perform various functions:

• Scientific Program Committee sets scientific program for annual meeting
• Local Organizing Committee handles local logistics for annual meeting
• Publications Committee interacts with Genetic Epidemiology and chooses awardees for best publication
• ELSI Committee deals with Ethical, Legal Social Issues in genetic epidemiological research
• Membership Committee handles membership recruitment/retention
• Educational Committee outreaches to the scientific community on genetic epidemiology methods
