The Genetic Analysis Workshop (GAW) series was an annual workshop hosted by IGES where researchers worked together in teams to develop new ways of tackling problems of interest in genetic epidemiology and statistical genetics. Each year, the workshop would have a different theme and target data set that everyone would work on.

 The GAW series ended due to funding years ago, but a group of us within IGES are working to bring it back. As part of that effort, we need to choose a theme and data set for the first new GAW in 2027, but we need your help!

If you have an idea for the topic and data set for the next GAW workshop, please share your idea with us here (https://forms.gle/MDKcM4TdyGMYPZbN6). Topic submissions will be accepted from now until September 4^th, 2026. It’s OK if you don’t have every detail planned out, but the more complete the idea, the stronger it will be.
